Our Wakefield Country Courtyard Nursery offers the highest quality provision. Our experienced professional team ensure an enriched environment which is interesting, engaging and intriguing and that sparks every child’s creativity and in turn encourage natural learning and a better development.
Throughout the setting we use natural and real-life items that inspire, engage and ignite the children’s imaginations and in turn stimulate development and learning.
Families are welcomed into a calm, clean, fresh, neutral, home-from-home environment where it feels like children are going into a second home or to a family member. A place where you feel confident their children will be cared for to the highest level.
Within the setting, spaces are used to their full potential, creating cosy, free access crawl-in sleeping areas, calm, quiet, reading areas as well as highly engaging play spaces.
Wakefield Country Courtyard Nursery
KidsStop has a well-structured team of highly qualified members of staff. Making use of these skills we have been able to fine tune the invitations to learning and create continuous provision so enriched that children play, learn and develop without intervention from adults. This practice ensures no delay in development and helps us alongside families create the thinkers and doers of the future.
Play opportunities are created by ‘planning in the moment’, taking the interests of each child in real time and making moments of purposeful learning. This assists us in ensuring that all children meet their full potential and that we help create a solid foundation of development so they can move confidently onto primary school.

Daily Routine
The daily routine is carefully planned to provide a calm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn through exploration and discovery.
The day begins with a warm welcome, allowing children to settle in at their own pace before engaging in a variety of invitation-to-play experiences designed to spark curiosity and imagination.
Throughout the day, children have opportunities to explore open-ended resources, participate in child-led activities, adult-led activities and enjoy outdoor learning, and develop independence through everyday tasks.
Mealtimes are relaxed social occasions that encourage conversation and self-help skills.
Storytelling, singing, and reflection are woven naturally into the routine, while practitioners observe and respond to children's interests, ensuring that each child's learning journey is meaningful, engaging, and unique
Age Groups
Our setting is undergoing a big refurbishment and is currently open only to children under 2 -years-old.
For our children under 2 we have dedicated large room, which have tailored environments, continuous provisions and resources suitable for each stage of your child's development.
We also have a dedicated room for sleeping and a separate sensory room which is used by all age groups.
When our refurbishment is complete, we will have another large room dedicated to children ages 2 years-old and above and will be our Preschool Room.
The Preschool Room will be linked to an enclosed courtyard which is used for the preschoolers to free-flow into.
We will also be constructing a Mezzanine Room which will be dedicated to offering sensory experiences and a sleeping area.
Creative Play
At KidsStop we strongly believe in encouraging self-expression and imagination through creative arts, music, and sensory experiences.
We do not believe in templated work where all the children colour in the same template to take home. We believe in providing the children with an array of resources and allowing them to create their own masterpieces in their own way in their own time.
Allowing the children to produce their own creations has been proven to spark imagination, ideas, harness a sense of identity and supports their confidence to be self expressive.
Outdoor Learning
We have been extremely fortunate to be granted permission to have our own garden area within the grounds of the Wakefield Estate. It is surrounded by open fields and farm land and cannot be a better environment for outside play.
Our secure garden will allow us to watch day-to-day what happens in a rural environment. We look forward to showing the children the harvest each year and watch the sheep, pheasants and rabbits that roam through the estate.
In our Preschool Room courtyard we will have dedicated raised beds for growing our vegetables we hope to have for lunch. We will also have several mud kitchens for making potions and a yummy cup of tea for the practitioners.
As with all our settings we like to enjoy all weathers and understand the importance and benefits of the outside. Activities can be enjoyed in all weathers and when the weather is just right we will have meal times in the garden.
